Ag One Foundation

Thursday, December 15th, 2016

The Ag One Foundation raises funds to support a range of worthy programs and scholarships at the Fresno State Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology. Its millions of dollars in scholarship funds have helped many students pursue agriculture degrees — including our own Frank Nunes, who holds a B.S. in agricultural business marketing.

Ag One is near and dear to me. When I entered Fresno State I was the oldest of 5 children living with my mother who was getting $600 a month child support and paying $350 a month rent. I was part of the inaugural Ag Ambassadors for Fresno State’s Ag College, now called the Jordan School of Agriculture Sciences and Technology. Without the generosity of the Ag One-Ag Ambassadors scholarship, completing college would have been much more challenging. Since then Nunes Law has given back by supporting the annual Ag Boosters BBQ which funds Ag One scholarships. — Frank Nunes

Support and Legal Services for Veterans and U.S. Troops

Saturday, September 24th, 2016

Attorney Frank Nunes was proud to participate as a volunteer attorney at this year’s Central Valley Veteran’s Stand Down. This Stand Down, which occurs every year in September, provides a huge range of services to veterans and active service members and their families. The services include everything from food and new clothing for homeless vets to medical care, employment counseling, and legal clinics.

The name “stand down” originates from combat stand-downs, when exhausted troops leave the active battlefield for rest, re-equipping, and recovery. Community-based stand-downs like the Central Valley Stand Down are now held throughout the country to assist vets and service members.

Law Offices Of Frank M. Nunes also thanks servicemembers for all they do by sending packages to troops fighting overseas.

Free Community Legal Services

Thursday, September 15th, 2016

Free and low-cost legal services clinics provide critical legal resources and representation for California families. Some legal services such as personal injury representation after a car accident are commonly free until you receive compensation from the insurance company (or from the person or business who caused your injury). But other legal services often require up-front payment of legal fees that many of us can’t afford.

Law Offices Of Frank M. Nunes is proud to volunteer time and give financial support to Central California Legal Services (CCLS).

Central California Legal Services

If you are unable to afford a lawyer in an area of law that usually requires up-front fees, we encourage you to contact CCLS, which provides free legal help to low-income individuals in Central California, people facing certain health-related matters, and seniors in Kings, Merced or Tulare County. CCLS has a legal staff and also coordinates pro bono services from local volunteer attorneys through its Voluntary Legal Services Program (VLSP).
