If your car is no longer operable following an auto accident, there are several ways to obtain a rental car while yours is being repaired. You will usually be granted a rental car if your car is no longer drivable, and the most common way to obtain one is through your own insurance company.
There are two other methods of obtaining a rental car. One way is by requesting a rental car from the at-fault party’s insurance company, and a second way is by paying for the rental yourself, out-of-pocket. If you choose to pay for the rental car yourself, we will want to include that amount in your harms and losses as we attempt to recover these from the at-fault party. Watch the video to learn more.
