Medical Providers Will Wait for Payment if You Have a Lien

If you’ve been injured in a car accident, you may be wondering if the medical providers will wait for payment until after your personal injury case settles. The answer is yes; this can be done if the medical provider files a lien. A lien is a promise for you to pay them back for their services, and it is allowable by California law.

Given that this is a signed written promise to repay following your settlement, the medical provider will want to be assured regarding the validity of your claim. Most facilities will not allow the lien process unless an attorney represents you. Again, they want to make sure your case is good and they will be paid for their services. Watch the video to learn more.

If you have additional questions regarding the lien process or the validity of your personal injury case, I want you to call me at (559) 436-0850. I welcome your call. Visit our educational website at www.NunesLaw.com for more videos and media content from our law firm.
